Initiated by SEPPIA, in co-production with ARTE France, Arte GEIE, Arte Germany/Saarländischer Rundfunk, and Indi Film GmbH (Germany), THERE WERE MILLIONS, The untold stories of European migrants is a 3 x 52-minute documentary series blending live-action footage with animation. It tells the story of Europe’s largest migratory phenomenon, where tens of millions of men and women left their homelands along the Rhine to venture to the other side of the world—North and South America, as well as the far reaches of Russia and Africa.
Dada! Animation worked on the production of the documentary’s 2D and 3D animated sequences, which will be broadcast in 2025. The studio also created the project’s pilot.
