The grand comeback of the iconic Pif Gadget duo
Pif & Hercule go green marks the great return of the legendary duo—Pif, the clever dog, and Hercule, the mischievous cat—in a 3D animated series designed to raise awareness among children aged 6 to 10 about environmental issues.
A beloved French comic magazine for young readers, Pif Gadget shaped generations of children in the 1970s and 80s, known both for its famous gadgets and its memorable comic book characters, including « Pif & Hercule », « Pifou, Placid & Muzo », « Doc Justice », « Rahan »… Recently, the magazine has been relaunched, gaining new popularity among young readers.
A comedy series with an environmental message
Through episodes blending 3D animation with live-action footage, the adventures of Pif, Hercule, and young Pifi address environmental issues with honesty, irreverence, and humor. Their messages are reinforced with real-world images from The Explorers platform, showcasing the breathtaking beauty of our planet.
In the style of a fun video blog, each episode tackles a specific ecological challenge—such as the impact of plastic on marine wildlife or the devastation caused by palm oil on forests—and presents simple, practical solutions for children.
Co-produced by Dada! Animation, Pif & Hercule SAS, and Quad, Pif & Hercule go green is developed in partnership with The Explorers platform, which is dedicated to documenting the world’s natural, cultural, and human heritage. The series is directed by Jérôme Mouscadet.
