An original animated edutainment series on CANAL+ KIDS

Delivered to the CANAL+ Group at the end of 2025, our educational animated series Pif & Hercule Go Green is finally hitting the screens.
To mark its launch during the French spring school holidays, this short-format series will premiere on Saturday, April 4, 2026, on CANAL+ KIDS, airing daily at 8:15 AM, 1:05 PM, and 7:00 PM, as well as on the CANAL+ App.

Pif and Hercule brought to life for the first time in a 3D animated series

Made famous by the iconic Pif Gadget magazine, the legendary duo makes a major comeback in a brand-new, dynamic and humorous 3D animated series, focused on environmental issues and sustainable development.

Through a vlog-style format, Pif and Hercule explore the planet to showcase its beauty and diversity to young audiences, while calling out behaviors that threaten it. Joined by the young Pifi, they explain why and how it is essential to protect our environment.

Featuring voice performances by Roman Doduik and Esteban, the series combines humor and strong educational value to address questions such as “Why do artificial reefs support marine biodiversity?” or “How do wildlife crossings help save lynxes?”

A hybrid production using 3D animation and real-time rendering

For the teams at Dada! Animation, the series also represented an ambitious artistic and technical challenge. The production combines:

  • 3D animation
  • stylized motion design sequences, inspired by the wildlife illustrations of renowned American artist Charley Harper
  • spectacular footage captured by The Explorers Foundation.

Rendering and part of the compositing were carried out in real time using Unity.

Premiering April 4, 2026, Pif & Hercule Go Green is an Original CANAL+ Creation, produced by Dada! Animation and Pif et Hercule SAS, in collaboration with The Explorers Foundation, with the support of the CNC (French National Bureau for Cinema and the Moving Image)
