Our ANR research project “Animation Conductor”<\/em> is moving forward!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This month, Dada ! Animation welcomed IRISA<\/a> researchers to the studio for a new milestone meeting as part of the ANR project \u201cAnimation Conductor.\u201d<\/em> The first version of a prototype co-developed by our teams was tested by our animators, alongside developers and researchers Anthony Mirabile and Th\u00e9o Gerard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting gave us the opportunity to exchange ideas in preparation for a new technical paper and to identify several promising research directions. A first paper entitled \u201cExpressive Animation Retiming from Impulse-Based Gestures\u201d<\/em> had already been written as part of the project by Marie Bienvenu from LIX (\u00c9cole Polytechnique)<\/a>. It was presented at MIG 2024 (Motion, Interaction and Games<\/a>) in Washington, D.C., where it received the award for Best Short Paper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Supported by the French National Research Agency (ANR) over a period of more than three years, the project aims to study and develop an open-source prototype for 3D animation editing using voice and gesture interaction. Research and development will continue throughout the coming year to further refine the prototype.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
